Bookends

I know it's nearly winter when I find myself struggling to get a photo in daylight Monday to Friday. I start with good intentions then it's 5 pm and the light has gone and I'm resorting to the cats ! Thought they made a lovely pair of bookends :) 
The mood in our house was one of hilarity this evening over remarks made by my dearly loved elderly mum expressing her concern to H over 'who would write her Christmas cards if she died before Christmas?'
