Watching . . .

We have lots of herons in the bay at the moment.  They are very noisy birds, squawking and shouting, and incredibly weird with their huge long necks, folded up most of the time.  This one was just too far out to get a good shot of him, but he was catching plenty of fish, though naturally those photos are even more blurred!

A day in the garden, cutting back, splitting and moving more plants. It was super weather for it, dry and flat calm.  Such a good day that the builder came and did some repairs to the roof - he's been waiting for a good day to do it for ages.  I should have had my camera out when he was up on his ladder, but I was fighting with a large astrantia plant at the time!
