Flatpack Sheds
I was in at Waddesdon Manor this afternoon. The House closed last weekend to be prepared for Christmas (opening again on the 11th November) but the grounds are open until Sunday. It was a grey and chilly day so we were not inundated with visitors!
I spent a short time in the Wine Cellar entrance and the highlight here was seeing a goldcrest bird. It is the smallest British bird and was minute. A pair of them had flown in earlier and one couldn't find the way out. So a team of staff with ladder and nets came to the rescue and managed to catch it. It's a very beautiful little bird - so tiny - and was released back into the bushes. I just hope it finds its mate.
First rehearsal of Chiltern Chamber Choir this evening after our return from the successful performance in France. We are performing Messiah again at Christmas but have also started working on Duruflé's Requiem for Easter 2018 - sublime music!
The sheds have been delivered ready for the Christmas Fair running for 4 weeks before Christmas. It will be VERY busy then. The sheds for the sellers seem to just need unfolding and were surprisingly attractive. Suitable for Abstract Thursday.
