(Future) Granny Stuff
backblipped
It was a horrible rainy sunday and so I decided to do a follow up to Granny Stuff
This object belongs to me.
I am not a Granny yet as I am far too young at 52 but one day I may be.
This 'thing' was brought back from Thailand, as a gift for me, by my eldest child.
#1boy left for a year in Australia in April 2011.
After 16 months - having overstayed his Visa in Australia, worked at various occupations including installing pallet racking, industrial cleaning, managing a working hostel, picking capsicums, weeding suger cane fields and erecting marquees, making several requests for money to be transfered to his Australian account, meeting LOADS of new people, taking a few photos, getting drunk a lot and spending some time in Thailand he phoned to ask me to book him a flight from Bangkok back to Manchester.
The wanderer returned to the fold bearing this gift.
Although it is not entirely to my taste it is a fond reminder that I managed to raise a child with the confidence and adventurous spirit to travel to the other side of the world and return home to tell me of his travels.
One day my children and (as yet unborn) grandchildren will have to sort though my 'stuff'.
I wonder who will end up with this beautiful tat object?? :-))
