Too Early For Christmas?

My Christmas cactus is coming into flower, there are lots of buds and this in full bloom.
I wish I could say that it has been treasured since I received it but it has been living on the draining board in the utility room awaiting repotting for months. I dare not move it until it has finished flowering or all the buds will drop.
By contrast, Mr Flum's, received at the same time, which was repotted and lives in the kitchen, is nowhere near as advanced.
