Dancing Trees
The sun broke through as I passed this field on the slopes of Sale Fell, illuminating this row of Hawthorn trees. It looked just as if they were dancing in the sunshine, flinging their branches about with gay abandon. As I looked closer, I saw that they once marked a field boundary which would have run away from the gate.
The summit in the clouds is Skiddaw, with the ridge leading to Ullock Pike in front.
