We had decided to go to Cape Town  for the last day of October, but just before we left we got a message from George that we had to come and fetch the result of my application for a temporary residence permit. Because they refuse to tell whether it was approved or not we just had to go there to fetch it immediately so that I could leave the country if my application was turned down. Fortunately it was not. The two hour drive to CT was just a six hour trip instead... We celebrated with a very nice dinner.
