Over the hills...
Over the Mendip hills to Wells this morning, to visit an exhibition in the cathedral's South Cloister. In the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday, ‘No News of Fred’ traces the final days of Fred Wood, a young Somerset Light Infantryman who died aged just 19 in the Battle of the Somme. His body was never found. Fred’s name is inscribed in the Cathedral’s beautiful Book of Remembrance, one of the county’s 11,281 WW1 fallen. Very moving...
Back out in the sunshine, time to mooch around the market and shops and pick up another two Christmas pressies, and three packet of sparklers!
Having shown you blips of Wells Cathedral recently, today I thought I'd show you a different aspect of this beautiful little city. I could very happily live here...
Time for Strictly! Keeeep dancing!!
