Baby Bird

I am enjoying visits from various baby birds. This little one must have recently fledged. It is very good at flying down, but struggles with flying up. I watched a  couple of attempts to fly from the table up onto the deck rail where the  water and fruit sit, but each time it didn't have enough height to clear the edge of the rail, and fell back down in a flap of feathers.

This blip is the baby bird sitting on the deck table, watching an older bird bathing in the bowl on the rail. I would love to know what the little one makes of it. I guess it wont be long before it is up there too.
