Beaver Moon
Last nights moon taken from our back door and looking into our garden. We have a sodium street light beside our garden fence which gives off the orange glow in the garden.
Apparently last nights moon was called a beaver or a hunter's moon. So called because hunters needed the light of the moon to catch their prey and also because they used to set traps to catch beavers so they would have warm furs during winter.
