The view from the terrace

We went to Loweswater in search of more autumn colours but didn't really find anything to blip so here is the view from the terrace* and an extra of the sun lighting up the trees.

* We met someone who asked us the purpose of the terrace. We suggested a miners' track or a coffin route and she seemed unconvinced, Anyone heard any other suggestions?
