made it!

reached Everest Base Camp in Tibet in spite of the most horrendous cold I have ever had in my life! Sad that I couldn't manage the whole 5km walk from Rongbuk Monasery - I was determined to walk in, as I had on the Nepalese side - but had to take a horse and cart and only got out and walked the last half kilometre.

what an adventure, and there was lots more to come.
