Tooo early ....................
for a mince pie?????? Well I don't think so. I really enjoyed this one today with a cup of milky coffee. Its a Waitrose all butter chocolate pastry pie filled with ginger, liqueur and orange mincemeat. Delicious.
As you can tell from what I ate yesterday - and today I haven't been on the Slimming World plan this weekend. I will get back on it tomorrow. Its been great to just eat whatever I fancied but long term that isn't an option or else I will end up like a " house end " again.
Becky and Mike had a little run before breakfast. Then we all had a walk down to the village. Becky wanted to go to Greggs to buy some stotties to take home with her and also a stottie sandwich to eat on the train.
Their taxi came at 1pm and their train was due to leave at 2pm but it was slightly delayed. Later on I got a message from Becky to say that between Darlington and York their train had hit someone who was on the line. So there was going to be a major delay. Tragic thing to happen. Must really shake you up if you are on a train that hits someone.
UPDATE - Their train has terminated at York. They are stuck at York for the time being.
I was sad to see Becky and Neil go but it won't be long before they are here again as they are coming for New Year.
Since they left I have changed the bed, put the washing on, done the washing up, eaten a mince pie and watched Strictly and X Factor from yesterday. And taken in a parcel from Amazon.
Neil and Rachael have gone to Lumley Castle today and are staying the night. Its a late birthday treat for Rachael. Lumley Castle is over 600 years old and is located 7 miles from Durham. It stands in beautiful parkland overlooking the River Wear. They have stayed there before and like the place a lot.
