Roller Derby Queens

Actually just a "Throwback" photo circa1977, when we lived in Santa Barbara, CA where the weather was always perfect for just about any outdoor activity and there was so much to do.  I'm the one in the middle.  My good friend Ann is on the right as viewed and her sister-in-law Ann on the other side.  Just spoke to Ann yesterday, crazy that our friendship has continued with 3000 miles between us.   Our lives have changed so much since these days of youth and innocence, but we've always stayed in touch and managed to plan quite a few get togethers where we meet, here or there or somewhere in between.  Ann's husband died this year and so the journey has been a little more difficult for her, but she has lots of support from family and friends and we are having some heartfelt conversations.
