Heavily laden

In a large pot on the deck we have a lemon tree. Small, still. Shortly after we got it, it became infested with aphids, and new growth was minimal. It became much healthier over the winter, and has struck a great quantity of blossom, and can be called heavily laden.

Our apartment is a couple of levels above the ground level, and S has been concerned that we have seen no bees, and has tried hand fertilising. Yesterday I saw one bumble bee around the lemon tree; it didn't stay long. This evening, another bumble bee was spotted, and it went as I got my camera and went on to the deck. Half an hour later I saw a bumble bee again (whether the same one or another, I don't know). It investigated numerous lemon flowers and in that process I got this photo. Which shows that it, too, is heavily laden.

We hope for some lemons.
