Big Sky

Sometimes you just happen to have a camera around when things happen. I was on my way to the car to go to work when I happend to look up and catch what we call here "a big sky". The cloud pattern wasn't anything special, but there was something about the light that caught my eye. It was the promise that day was dawning, that the sun was about to come out from behind the cover of darkness. It spoke to me of "the already and the not yet". It pointed me back to the night I had just spent asleep and called me on into the day yet to be experienced. It was entrancing. Maybe you just needed to be there. Maybe the snap is just that, a snap. Anyway, every now and again its good to take a moment to reflect on things past and things to come. We cannot change the past, but we can create the future.
