Where are the cows?

After a fabulous drive through part of the Massif Central, we now find ourselves wrapped in woollies. We are at 630 metres and have a lakeside spot for the night.

There is an island in the lake that we planned to walk to and around but when we arrived at the bridge we checked the distance (7k around the island) the time (2:30 pm) and the clouds (heavy) and opted to return to base. Hope to walk the island in the morning as it looks well worth the trip.

Currently raining and temperature plummeting towards sub zero for the evening. I am going to cook a hot meal for the first time in weeks.
