Blown Over!
We arrived safely back home in Barcelona in the early hours of the morning as the plane was delayed in Rome. Just as we were about to go upstairs I put on the outside patio lights just to see how it was looking....something looked different! Then I saw that our 6 metre tree had been blown over onto the patio and caught on the hibiscus tree at the other side! I didn't notice at first as it was just a mass of greenery. It's a ton weight, so we have to decide what to do next! Some of the roots have been ripped out but there may be something still in the ground. I'm trying to find someone who can come and give some expert advice. Whatever happens - to get it either back on its feet againor to dispose of it - we'll have a lot of chopping off to do. It was, we thought, securely hooked onto our wall with very thick elastic straps. The straps aren't broken and the hooks are still intact on the wall. It must have been the storm of a few days ago. Apart from that, nice to be home. Poor Bb was up very early this morning to start a week of 'executive challenges'.
