Fresh from the earth

Radishes are supposedly easy to grow, but in previous years I've only got useless spindly little things. This year a late sowing has produced some beauties, even though the beasties in the soil got a good nibble at some of them before I got around to pulling them.

Outrageously, the French eat them with butter - not bread and butter, just butter!!
