Leaves are falling

This crazy weather we've been having - icy temperatures and the earliest snowfall in forty years - has convinced the trees that it's time to give up the game and let those leaves go.  There are drying leaves on trees all over town.  I took this shot at the Shoreline Library today, perhaps the last sunny day for a week or so, and I loved the way the leaves and shadows worked together.
