Church Street
It rained today, it rained for most of the day.
I saw a computer customer this afternoon, she had problems with her smart TV and Christmas address labels on her laptop; both sorted satisfactorily.
From there I walked into town to meet Ann out from the Blue Cross. We dived into Nero for coffee out of the rain.
Whilst walking in I went past these almshouses on Church Street. These ten houses were built in 1417-18, accounts of payments made during the building include 26s 8d (£1.33 in new money) for timber and carpenter and 7 cartloads of stone at 3d (1.5 new pence) per load.
