Carolina Wren (2X!)

No sooner did we walk out the door this morning than did Marylee spy this adorable wren--first in a bush, but not photogenic: then briefly on our back fence, where these two images (don't miss the extra! it completes the tail :) were the best I got (out of several dozen altogether). We were heading for Fort River, and we did get there. There were a few birds but nothing anywhere near this good--and it was chilly (mid 40˚s F). But a brisk walk did us good.

Next day: my ornithologist email commentator mailed with the subject: "Fencey Wrenditions"
