The Me-Bird

It could be that he’s loving
how the sun is lighting
up that particular
patch of pavement
but I suspect he’s
a vain bird
and has been
keenly admiring
his own reflection
in that puddle mirror
and is now thinking,
‘Well, if a picture
is about to be taken
of anything or anyone
- here I am!’
