A little down time
I do believe that today was our first washout of this trip. Overnight rain settled into a day long seeping of drizzle. We walked into the village for some further exploration and the hope of buying bread.
St Germain is very depressed, with many properties empty and shops and restaurants closed. A great pity but nothing that a good rolling fund could not sort out. Many of the older properties would restore to their former beauty.
I noticed a number of large doors in the village had magnificent scrolled hinges like on this building.
Tomorrow we reach the Dordogne river, at Beaulieu Sur Dordogne. I am hoping for improved weather.
