Snapping a snapper
The school has been raising money for a charity over the last year - a challenge to raise a target of £1000 to help the Thomas Theyer foundation in 12 months.
The kids have been incredible with their ideas, and even involved sitting in jelly for a whole day.
Well today, the mother of Thomas and a colleague from the charity came into school where they were presented with a giant cheque. They were quite emotional when they saw the total of £3896.33 and tears were shed. It really showed the children what an impact they have had for such a great cause and hopefully made them realise how awesome they are and how important such efforts are.
One of the most touching moments of my career seeing that.
A photographer working for the Derbyshire Times had a much better camera than me, much better composition ideas than me and a non-prime lens that allowed her to shoot in the room as it was raining outside. So I snapped her at work instead :)
Damn my 50mm and lack of weather forecast checking!
