beauty in brokenness

Today's picture is the tabernacle in our house chapel. It is very simple but also very beautiful. One of the ideas that has come to be very important for me is that we can find unexpected strength, beauty, wisdom in our own brokenness. Even the darkest experiences of our life can eventually bring new and often unexpected light. Left on their own, these would just be broken bits of glass, but together they form something special.
