Simplicity

I just love it when otherwise ordinary days are elevated on the spectacular scale by the simplest of things. Today is such a day. We found ourselves down at Mina A'Salam, one of Dubai's many nice hotels, for an afternoon mocktail. Actually, truth be told, we just needed to get in out the heat to cool down. It's not quite the right time of year to be out walking around, but the new camera needed it's inaugural trip. Anyway, as we were kicking back, the pianist started playing one of our wedding songs. I've never heard it anywhere else, so it was pretty special to hear it today. Beautiful little tune that almost made me cry. Then, we found the turtles that are being rehabilitated at the hotel. And when i say found, I mean, we simply looked out the window, and there they were! So after we cooled down, we braved the heat once again to watch the turtles close up. We finished the day at sunset down by the Burj Al Arab, taking pictures of the sky changing colour. So many images to chose from today, but I liked this one best.
