How all Saturdays should be

Hubby and I found ourselves with a bit more spare time today than normal so in the morning we took the dogs for a long walk up through some forestry at Waternish and in the afternoon we headed up to our usual loch for some fishing.

Spent a couple of hours rowing up and down the loch and hubby caught 5 brown trout, which have just gone out of season so they went straight back in the water. He also got a small sea trout which he also decided to release back. We had just headed back to shore and tied up the boat when we heard a stag roaring, and spotted him way up on the hill. Although I managed to get a picture of him, because it was at the absolute max of my zoom the quality was not good. Quite chuffed with ourselves we headed back to the car and started heading for home. As we drove along what is known as the Struan Hill Road we spotted three Red Deer, 2 hinds and a calf. Managed to get some pics of them too but decided that I wanted to post this pic which shows the loch and all the lovely autumn colours on the hill.

Now sitting down to home made pizza and a bit of Saturday night TV!
