Wrekin

We left early to go down to the Ironbridge Gorge and see more of the museums for which we have an annual pass. I am always appalled by how rubbish it is to get anywhere in England south of Preston; today was no exception as we got stuck on the M6 at Junction 20. We could have gone off at Chester and taken the route through the Welsh Borders, but didn’t. Eventually we got to Junction 19 and then went west, eventually getting to Ironbridge with only time to go to the Museum of the Gorge and then the Toll House. We had some daylight left so walked up the Wrekin; it was windy, cool and a bit dull. The blip is taken at the top looking south west over the hill fort.
