Hampstead Heath

Hampstead Heath is a huge area of open space in north London. It is well loved and well used and this is where we went for a constitutional this morning in the bright sunlight. Runners, dogs, walkers, joggers birders, we were all out there enjoying ourselves.
This old oak tree has seen better days and better times but l think it will be around for sometime yet. I hope some animals or birds can use that big hole in its side for shelter when winter arrives.
