Outside In
On the way to our local grocery store this afternoon, we popped in to a French bistro for a little lunch first. The restaurant is located at 101 Arch Street, which is a mixed use (office/retail) building. The first few floors are made up of 19th Century brick buildings, with more modern stories added on top. The original part has now been protected from the elements by a glass wall and ceiling, but the original windows and cast iron fire escape have been preserved, and they now form the entrance lobby to the complex. I think it's a lovely way to blend the old with the new.
