Uganda Day 3: What A Welcome!

Our first proper day in Uganda. I have come here with two couples from the church I go to to visit friends of ours - an English woman and her Ugandan husband who have established a school, Child Of Hope, and a church in a very deprived area. There are now nearly 500 children in the school! We'll be visiting the church on Sunday and the school next week, as well as many other things. We hope to share words of encouragement and to reach out with love and care, sharing any personal expertise whenever possible. I will be taking many photos which will hopefully be used in promoting the work here.

This is the same place as I visited two years ago and I'm thrilled to be back!

So, for today, we are visiting a nearby village for an outdoor meeting. And what a welcome we received - they were so pleased to see us and made us feel very welcome. This photo was taken within minutes of arriving with no arranging at all on my part. Gorgeous, smiling faces!
