At long last

I remember bringing sons R&M to see Barney the Dinosaur at the cinema on this prime central Tunbridge Wells site in circa 1998. The cinema closed in 2000, gradually fell into disrepair and became an eyesore in the middle of the town. It was finally demolished in 2014. Here we are in 2017. It is reported that planning permission has finally  been given - for shops, restaurants and - yes a new cinema. Why it has taken 17 years is a complete mystery to me. How can the Council be that useless.  That's the Town Hall straight ahead so it's not as if the Planning people could forget about it. The youngsters of TW will finally have a cinema they can get to by public transport.
