Fresh Grass

We shifted the calves this morning into fresh grass, as with the rain that we have had over the past week, their paddock was getter very wet and mucky.

This calf hoed into the grass - I love the tongue that comes out the side of the mouth, curls around, and grabs the grass before bringing it into the mouth. Most of these calves are coming up 8 weeks now.

The day has mostly been sunny, although the next couple of days are meant to be very wet - oh fun! We had a light dusting of snow on the mountains yesterday, making the air temperature considerably cooler.
