Nature in the raw

Every now and again I'm stopped in my tracks by a view, a scene, an image, an animal or plant that is, simply put, beautiful. Such is the subject of today's blip. In the Judeo Christian creation account, one of the purposes of nature was to be beautiful to the eye. On the face of things this seems a whim, an unnecessary divine act.. Why would you do this? But maybe that is to misunderstand love. To be able to be whole people we need to experience beauty, to appreciate unadulterated grace. It takes us outside ourselves and allows to to focus on the creativity of others, and to be thankful!
