These birds are crafty birds.
It comes as no surprise
That, pompom birds or paper,
You can't pull the wool over their eyes.

A bit of bathos after my yesterblip: the sublime to the ridiculous!

The village 'next door' to ours is where I play table tennis each Tuesday. And each year the village holds a Christmas Tree Festival, where every local group and society contributes a tree and decorates it to their chosen theme. The whole display is then opened to the public for one weekend, at a small entrance fee, and thus money is raised for both the church and whichever chosen charity. It's a lovely, colourful event.

This year, the theme we've settled on is titled Christmas in the Treetops, and I have spent a lot of time this weekend making pompom birds and paper birds to include in the tree's decorations. Thought they'd make a cheerful blip on a cold November day!
