Diary of an Edinburgher

Sunday lunch

The gym goers did their bit while I used up about two calories - cutting up their fresh fruit for a well earned breakfast. I really must get back into my biking routine...

Then they set off to Stockbridge, the market being the main draw, but the charity shops and cafes were a bonus. Archie and I were not so keen on such an activity, so we stayed at home and met them later for lunch, a much more enticing event.

We went to the Raeburn, which was SO busy, just as well we booked. We'd been there before, and had a half serving of a Sunday roast meal. I think it's just minus a slice of beef, because the veges and Yorkshire pudding filled the plate! Delicious.

Dogs are not allowed in cafes/pubs, and indeed - buses, in Australia, so Gill took photos of every dog we met. I had to include one beauty (extra).

We then popped into the wine bar we discovered a week or so ago, but keeping an eye on the bus app, we had 15 minutes. Plenty of time for a (very) quick prosecco!

Gill had bought lots of goodies at the market, tapenade, cheese, biscuits, even a liver cake for Archie. And so there was a quick assembling of tasty nibbles, and we were ready for Christine and Rufus to come for G&Ts to round off a very pleasant day.

Here Gill is the dogs' best friend, because she gave them each a wee bit of liver cake! Yum yum.
