Comfort cousins

Farewell morning cuddles between Tess and Akira. I love this picture, Tess suddenly seems all grown up.

It was SO cold today. I dropped Tess at her netball match at the beach in the middle of a torrential downpour, a spraytastic surfmageddon and a bitterly baltic cold air. But it was mostly a quiet day for me spent in splendid isolation at my mum's* house washing an epic clothes pile and catching up on some work...our washing machine has downed tools...but I couldn't work out how to put their heating on and it was freeeeeeezing.
