Counting Out His Money.

Counting because he enjoys sorting and counting, not because he is obsessed with money!

Always a lively session when we babysit for this grandson.

We had assembled four dinosaur kits, looked at and talked about each treasure in his 'things to keep always' box, talked briefly about his new school ( he much preferred the old one but it has closed), and discussed at length the reason why 'his' dog was wearing a collar.

Then he suggested counting his pocket money savings. We never did arrive at a total because the sorting and counting moved on to building TOWERS which, as this shot shows, met the traditional end of childrens' towers.

( His younger sister who is teething was being put to bed when we arrived and she slept for quite a while, but then she decided to join us and immediately fall asleep again on my lap, where her parents found her on their return).
