At the ballet

Another wonderful afternoon at PNB, seeing three very different ballets, two new to me, and one that Endless Weekend and I loved when it was first performed last season.  I saw no little girls to photograph, but this young dancer was greeting audience members and collecting donations for a program called Second Stage.  It provides dancers aging out of ballet with mentoring and guidance to new careers, as well as education at such schools as Seattle University,  $5 donations are all that is asked, and for one performance each season the dancers donate their salaries to Second Stage.  This kind of support is a rare thing, and we were happy to contribute.
