"Please send me a pair of gloves".
Exactly 100 years ago today my Grandma’s teenage brother wrote this card to his family.  Like thousands of others in the trenches he must have been very cold as he asks his mother to send gloves because he had lost his.  A week later, along with five friends from his little town, he was killed.
