"Finding Home"
Another day; another six or seven exhibits visited as part of FotoWeekDC.
While many of the works presented were wonderful, the "Finding Home" project tugged at my heart strings. Its premise is 'how do you build a family when everything else has fallen apart.' TIME journalists have been following three Syrian families since Sept 2016; all the women learned they were pregnant on the road to exile; none of them had expected starting a family in a refugee camp.
The work includes photographs as well as video and it brings the plight of refugees to an entirely new 'personal' level. You can find out more in this link, including the video trailer of the story. Once again, reporting done well is so powerful!
