If you go down to the woods today...

The woods that surround us are maintained by the Surrey Wildlife Trust and their merry band of volunteers. They were recently clearing an area which involved cutting down a few trees and rather than transporting them off site, which they usually do, they have left them in a neat pile for the locals to use. So the hunter/gatherer in this household together with his counterpart next door have been busy harvesting the bounty in readiness for the winter.
I did offer to help but I don't think they heard me for some reason so I took a photo instead!
