Alnmouth

On the East Coast line today from Stirling to Kings Cross. There have been numerous changes of livery since I started to make this journey (decades ago) but it's still the old Intercity 125 engine which pulls the train. Cutting edge engines then, a wee bit outdated now. Still, it's doing the job and we're just north of Newcastle. I set myself a challenge on this journey to take a photograph of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Alnmouth or Newcastle-upon-Tyne as they are photogenic places. I haven't done the Tyne bridges yet but I don't think I'll better this one of Alnmouth. Photos from the train are tricky but this one seems to have a reasonably straight horizon
