Harvest

Today in our church was harvest time. We have gone away from the traditional fruit, veg and flowers and have supported families in Honduras for a few years instead. We collect all sorts as you will see in the smaller picture on my blip. Money is also given to help. Folk bring foodstufs in tins or dried with a long expiry date, clothes, bedding, toiletries, children's toys, children's colouring books, pens and other stationary plus lots of other goodies. All these things we do take for granted. These are all packed into large tubs donated to us and shipped off to UK. The web site that will tell you more is Children of Honduras Trust. It's worth looking at the different tabs. Our church website is Eldad Elim Church We are fortunate to have someone in our fellowship who works in freight - enabling us to get the goods shipped to UK and the CHTrust take them from there. They are a charity based in Derby. The theme of todays family service was 'Let Gratitude be our Attitude' - we have so much that we take for granted while others have so little. The feedback we get is truly wonderful. The main photo is one of the great fellowship we have at our church. Thanks for reading this!
