The rain wasn't forecast. 

There was no need to go out today so I didn't, except into the garden for a photo. In the absence of flowers you get a washing line. The sky wasn't blue but the saturation slider has produced a more colourful photo. 

I was using the vacuum cleaner upstairs this afternoon when I found a small plastic wheel on the carpet. Turned the cleaner over and discovered where it had come from. New part £24. New cleaner £100's I guess. Will have to make do with a dustpan and brush until it's fixed. 

I think our cat fence has worked and the birds are now safer. Only problem is that we don't get such a good view of the ground feeders - mostly dunnocks and yellowhammers.
