Power To The People

It might seem we're in the lap of luxury up on this hill, but it's swings and roundabouts. Six of one and half a dozen of the other. Many a mickle makes a muckle. Aye ok. Much as we are trying to improve our abode, we have co-incidental events occurring to negate those attempts.

Case 1: as we are in the run up to a life changing bathroom renovation, our water pressure starts to drop off. For the past 2 weeks, before they ever got near to the pipes, the water has been a trickle and hence having 2 much larger water storage facilities just makes it takes longer to fill up, often not fast enough. We've lost water to the shower maybe 3 times now, sometimes mid shower... eek. Would it have been ok had we not been the work?

Case 2: About 4 weeks ago, having had half a house setup for a generator during power cuts, we asked an electrician to do the other half too, to include the freezer and more importantly, broadband router/wifi. We can cope without it that half of power, but it means running cables upstairs. So why have we had 4 power outages since then? 3 in the last 24 hours. Gennie out, run the cables, run out of fuel, power back, put the gennie back, plug the router back in and the absolute worst, setting that blooming central heating timer... clock set, 8 different times for programmes, god I am sick of doing it. So after last night's warning of power going down, it goes 5 minutes after my blip, phew. Then today, it pops at 11am mid work, an hour before we planned to drive into town. Except now we had no power for shower (gennie cannae handle it captain) and water levels were low for a bath (see Case 1). So on my way out we swung past the blipping offender... what is going on in this farm? Are the cows getting hooked up to an electric treadmill? Never mind, another planned outage next week... the electrician is supposed to come next week, too late mate! Too late!

Case 3: there will be a case 3, everything happens in 3s?

And not only that, this is my 1414 blip on the 14th? Spooky or what?
