Watering the plants

I have been watering the garden today because the plants were really dry.
As I was doing it I was also thinking that perhaps in a few weeks' time we will have to start with water restrictions if it does not rain and we won't be allowed to use water for gardens.
I just hope the situation improves before it is too late.
