O I Sleep: World Trade Centre Memorial, NYC

I wasn't sure how I would feel at the WTC memorial. Inevitably there were some fairly tactless selfies being taken but putting that to one side the combination of simplicty and scale has a big impact.
The white roses in the names of those for whom the day would have been their Birthday were particularly poinant. As so often it's the details that bring it home.
