A very special bond...
Backblip
A day spent wading through treacle or at least that's how it felt.
David and I trying to get organised for his annual weekend in the Lake District with a group of pals. So much to do, so little time. There's been so much going on (so what's new?!) that the prep is all very last minute.
Thankfully things had calmed down by early evening when Carole popped in. Carole own's Lola's mum Lily and was Lola's first human mummy so they share a very special bond.
Lola was so happy to see Carole and got a bit over excited but mummy Carole soon put her in her place. Amazing to watch how she does as Carole tells her. I need to take lessons from her!
Carole had very kindly brought her doggy grooming kit and set about trimming the fur that had sprouted between Lola's paws, giving her a manicure and pedicure and trimming her feathers and tail. I was amazed at how well Lola tolerated this. There is no way she would have let me do it (she's not daft. I'd probably have chopped a toe off!)
Really lovely to catch up with Carole and hear how Lola's mum Lily, her sister Freya and auntie Mia are getting on. Freya has started attending Ringcraft classes and is doing really well. I am sure she is a future prize winner in the making.
